I had a strong showing this past week at my "Time is Money" fundraiser, I feel invigorated for these last few weeks of the campaign. In the past week I've raised over 200 hours of volunteer support as well as substantial financial support that will allow me to get my message out to the voters. If you missed my event and are still interested in contributing time or money to my campaign, I would welcome your support.

Two of my supporters Carolyn Byerly and Katherine McGraw held a meet and greet for me Sunday, August 22nd in Adelphi. There was a strong turnout, which is no surprise because of how civic minded the community is. I door knocked in Adelphi a couple weeks ago and people were friendly, engaged in the issues, and liked Mary Lehman signs! Thank you Carolyn and Katherine for your support.

One of my supporters Mike Martin hosted a meet and greet for me Sunday, August 8th in Calverton. Mike has been very active in the Prince George's Sierra Club chapter, and he talked at the event about my recent Sierra Club endorsement and the need to have a green candidate on the council who is also civic minded. Thank you Mike for your support, and to his wife Devan for helping plan the event.

On Tuesday August 3rd, communities all around Prince George's County participated in the annual National Night Out against crime. I attended events in Laurel and Beltsville, and supporters of mine attended both as well as two events in College Park. I really enjoyed meeting with residents in my district and discussing safety and crime concerns, we have a lot of work to do in this area.

One of my supporters Salome Peters hosted a meet and greet for me Thursday, July 29th in Laurel. I had a good time talking with her friends about my background in civic activism and government, and listening to their concerns about education, transportation, and safety issues.

On Monday, July 12th I met with seniors at Selbourne House, which is housing for seniors on Main Street in Laurel. We talked about the issues they are concerned about from traffic improvements on Main Street, safety, and the need for greater access to bus transportation.

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend with food, family, and fireworks. I had a fun time marching in the Laurel parade with enthusiastic supporters this past Saturday, where I introduced myself to voters and saw familiar faces in the crowd. Later that day, my family and I went to Laurel Lakes to watch a great fireworks show.
